Get to Jacksonville

Getting to Jacksonville is easy whether you travel by highway or air. Interstate 72 and Routes 67, 267, 104, and 78 all converge in the city. Convenient, commercial air service is available through Springfield, Bloomington, or St. Louis. Jacksonville Municipal Airport serves private aircraft. Amtrak serves the nearby communities of Springfield or Quincy. From Springfield, take Interstate 72 West, 25 minutes to Jacksonville. From St. Louis, take Route 367 North to Route 267 North for a two-hour journey to Jacksonville. If interstate routes are preferred, a simple alternative is I-55 North to Springfield, then I-72 West to Jacksonville. Scenic routes such as US-67 and IL-78 offer a rare glimpse of rural life throughout Central and Western Illinois.
