This week’s Free Kids Summer Movie at the Illinois Theater is A Minecraft Movie showing Wednesday–Friday at 1 PM and Saturday at 10 AM.
The Illinois Theater’s summer series features free family movies all season long with showings Wednesday–Friday at 1 PM and Saturdays at 10 AM in downtown Jacksonville. This week’s lineup is a fun one for kids who’ve spent the last few years building worlds, fighting creepers, and talking almost entirely in Minecraft references.
It’s also a great excuse to spend an afternoon downtown, cool off in the theater, and enjoy one of Jacksonville’s iconic historic venues during the summer season.

This Friday’s Downtown Concert Series is bringing the ultimate 90s throwback to the Square. 🎶
90’s Kids Superfly takes the stage June 12 from 6–9 PM with all the singalong favorites, dance hits, and nostalgic energy that makes summer nights downtown so fun. Expect everything from pop and hip hop to the songs you forgot you knew every word to.
Grab dinner, enjoy the food + beer wagon, pull up a lawn chair, and make a night of it in Downtown Jacksonville.
