Immerse in our history, culture, and some wonderful views! Tour the campus of Illinois College, the oldest university in Illinois and a hotbed of abolitionism during the 1800s. Head Downtown and visit the David Strawn Art Gallery, built in 1880 and housing rotating exhibits of locally and nationally known artists.

Hip to Be Square

Next, head on over to the Gov. Duncan Mansion for a tour of this gorgeous home that served as the the official executive mansion from 1834-1838. The mansion is open for tours from 1-4 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays from Memorial Day to Labor Day or by appointment.
