We conclude our 44th season with an exciting new group of friends, the Jose Gobbo Trio. The Jose Gobbo Trio is an equilateral triangle featuring Gobbo on guitar, Max Beckman on bass, and Jay Ferguson on drums. Individually, the musicians have performed around the world, including Brazil, Japan, and the prestigious Carnegie Hall. Praised for their “adventurous solos grounded in the jazz traditions” and “in-the pocket drumming” by Jazz Today, Gobbo and Ferguson are featured on Chip Stephen’s Organ Trio album “Transgressions”. Complemented by Beckman’s versatile and dynamic bass, this trio will have you grooving, body and soul, in this final concert of the season. Event will take place at Rammelkamp Chapel on campus.
