My Life and Times: An Evening with Sherlock Holmes
May 29 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
In this one-man show, the master-sleuth Sherlock Holmes speaks of his early years in Yorkshire, his student days at Oxford and Cambridge, his arrival in London, where he established himself as the world’s first consulting private detective, his meeting with Dr. Watson, his encounters with such formidable adversaries as Irene Adler and Professor Moriarty, and his eventual retirement to the quiet life of a bookkeeper in Sussex. All this and more in a fascinating autobiography of one of the world’s most fascinating characters!
This performance will be presented at the Jacksonville Public Library on May 29 at 7:00 pm by Dr. Robert Seufert, Professor Emeritus of MacMurray College, a lifelong student of the great detective, who taught a course on Sherlock Holmes at the College, and who was voted Sherlockian of the year several times by Springfield’s Sherlock Holmes Society, Pondicherry Lodge, of which he remains and active member.
Admission is free!
