The Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra and Chorale presents their “Made in America” Concert on September 26.

We mark the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the U.S. with a program of music by American composers.  Come with us as we explore the music of our country, including a journey down the Mississippi River from its headwaters to New Orleans with music by Ferde Grofe, and a ride on the Mother Road, Route 66, on its 100th birthday with music recently written by Chicago composer Michelle Isaac.  And to top it all off, a trip to Catfish Row in Charleston, South Carolina with music from Porgy and Bess by the great George Gershwin!  Don’t miss this exciting All-American musical feast!
