You are cordially invited to attend the Engelbach-Hart Music Festival, to be held again this year in October. This admission free event is a gift to the community and will consist of three concerts. Friday’s program will be a Faculty Collage Concert, highlighting the exceptional talents of the Illinois College music faculty.  Saturday’s concert will feature the return of acclaimed Bass-Baritone Frank Ward, who last sang on our stage in 2016. Sunday’s 3 p.m. concert will feature the internationally renowned a cappella vocal ensemble, Cantus. The “engaging” (New Yorker) low-voice ensemble Cantus is widely known for its trademark warmth and blend, innovative programming and riveting performances of music ranging from the Renaissance to the 21st century. The Washington Post has hailed the Cantus sound as having both “exalting finesse” and “expressive power” and refers to the “spontaneous grace” of its music making. The Philadelphia Inquirer called the group nothing short of “exquisite.”
