2020 Morgan County Fair Event Cancelled

JACKSONVILLE, IL – The Morgan County Fair Board voted Tuesday night at their
regular monthly meeting to cancel the 2020 Morgan County Fair scheduled for July
5-12. After weeks of earnest consultation with the local health department, 4-H
Extension program, Local and State Leaders and fellow county fair boards, guidelines of
the phased Restore Illinois plan do not allow a feasible option for this year’s event to be
held.
“The cancellation of a tradition we are so passionate about was not easily decided,” said
Jay Harris, Fair Board President. “The health and safety of our fairgoers is our
responsibility and main concern; the Board as a whole felt this decision was in the best
interest of our community.”
For those who purchased concert tickets for the 2020 Concerts, please know refunds
will come directly back to the credit card used for purchase within the next 30 days. No
action is required on the part of the ticket purchaser. The entire process is being
handled by Etix online. We are currently working on artists for the 2021 Concerts but
nothing has been confirmed at this time.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the Morgan County Fair July 5-11, 2021. For
